GETEC expands its Advisory Board, appointing international technology entrepreneur and AI expert Tuomas Syrjänen with effect from 1 June 2026

Berlin, XX June 2026 – GETEC is expanding its Advisory Board with the appointment of international technology entrepreneur and AI expert Tuomas Syrjänen, effective 1 June 2026. With Syrjänen, GETEC gains a recognised specialist in data‑driven corporate management and the scaling of business models in capital‑intensive industries.
Tuomas Syrjänen is Co‑Founder, former CEO and current Chief AI Officer and Chair of the Board of the European technology company Futurice. From 2008 to 2018, he led the company through a period of strong growth and international expansion. He focuses on the strategic application of data and artificial intelligence and supports organisations in transforming business models, processes and decision‑making structures.
With his appointment to the Advisory Board, GETEC is deliberately strengthening its strategic capabilities at the intersection of technology, governance and execution. Key areas of focus include the digital development of the business, data‑driven steering models and the scalable deployment of decarbonised energy and infrastructure solutions in a highly dynamic market environment.
In addition, Syrjänen brings extensive board‑level experience from listed and privately held companies across technology, industrial and regulated sectors. His work is characterised by an integrated approach that connects technological innovation, operational excellence and long‑term value creation.
